CLYDE WILLIAMS

A True Original

" If you love what you do you"ll never work another day in your life." The late Hilton Head artist William Leon Stacks spoke those words to a young Clyde Williams, and he"s never forgotten them. Clyde always loved art in school and had answered an newspaper ad to learn picture framing. He eventually worked at Mr. Stack"s studio as a master framer, picture placement designer, and eventually took over all full restoration projects from him. Clyde a very soft-spoken and modest But very meticulous man over sees restoration projects though out it"s entire stages. Clyde has completed many works of art over the years and when asked what types of art he restores , his answer is simular to that of Bubba Gump describing ways to cook shrimp: "Oil on canvas, acrylic on canvas, oil and acrylic on board, silk and other fabrics, figurines, wood, frames & gilding, photographs, antique & fine furniture, metal and wood sculpture, old magazines and rare books, murals,...." Then he"d take a breath and continue his list. Clyde"s morals along with his work ethics and love for people and each precious piece of art that he restores gives him and his team an advantage in the world of art restoration.
